Astronoma Recreates the ISS Orbit Around Earth on Apple Vision Pro
The free Space Station environment uses NASA imagery, follows the station's real orbital path, and lets users adjust sunlight or move around Earth.

Astronoma 3.2 adds a free Space Station environment that places Apple Vision Pro users beside the International Space Station as Earth turns below.
The App Store update (opens in a new tab) says the high-fidelity environment uses NASA's Blue Marble Next Generation imagery. Users can change the sun's angle or move along the orbital path to see Earth from different positions.
How the Orbit Works
Developer Miguel Garcia Gonzalez says he built the environment natively with Reality Composer Pro, RealityKit, and shader graphs. In his development notes (opens in a new tab), he says the path follows the ISS's 51.6-degree inclination and 92-minute orbital period.
Those figures match NASA's description of the station's orbit (opens in a new tab), which takes roughly 90 to 93 minutes depending on altitude. Astronoma also changes its light and dark rendering according to the sun's position.
Augmenos's demonstration shows the station and Earth moving between daylight and darkness. A floating panel provides direct controls for sunlight and position, so the environment is more than a fixed panoramic backdrop.
Spacewalks and Availability
The same update adds Spacewalks, an exhibition built around images taken outside the ISS by astronauts and cosmonauts.
