Draymond Green lets cameras into six real therapy sessions in Open Season on Draymond Green (opens in a new tab), now streaming in the TV app on Meta Quest. Filmed during the Golden State Warriors’ 2025–26 season, the documentary follows the four-time NBA champion as he works with sports psychologist Dr. Carrie Hastings.

The conversations address pressures unfolding during the season, including trade rumors, a growing family, and questions about how much longer he wants to play. Meta describes the sessions as unscripted.

The series launched September 29 as the first release under Meta Presents (opens in a new tab), Meta’s new original immersive content banner. Skydance Sports, Green’s production company The New Media, and Meta produced it.

Filmed for VR

Open Season was shot in stereoscopic 180-degree video using Blackmagic URSA cameras. In a headset, the conversations appear in depth across a wide view of the room.

Executive producer Mehrad Noori explained the team’s approach (opens in a new tab) as leaving room for details that conventional television often edits out, including body language, thinking aloud, and silence.

The point isn’t voyeurism, but empathy.

The wider frame lets viewers look between the two people during a conversation, following a reaction as well as the person speaking.

Where to Watch

Open the TV app on your Quest and search for Open Season on Draymond Green, or use Meta’s series page (opens in a new tab) to open it in VR or add it to your watchlist. The listing rates the series 13+.
