XREAL Upgrades Its Flagship AR Glasses With the New 1 Pro+

Smoother 3D, a brighter screen, and a redesigned fit arrive for $599. Existing XREAL owners will get the 3D upgrade, too.

XREAL’s new 1 Pro+ (opens in a new tab) display glasses raise peak brightness from 700 to 1,200 nits while keeping the One Pro’s $599 price.

That’s about 70% more peak brightness. XREAL pairs it with AI HDR processing to bring out detail in bright and dark areas, plus Movie, Reading, and Standard modes for different kinds of content.

The other big change is smoother 3D. REAL 3D adds depth to regular photos, videos, livestreams, and games, with the conversion now running at 60 frames per second directly on the glasses.

That upgrade is also coming to existing glasses. In its launch announcement (opens in a new tab), XREAL says One, One Pro, and 1S owners will get 60 fps REAL 3D through a firmware update in November.

For the new hardware, XREAL has widened the nose pad to spread out the pressure and help keep the screen lined up with your eyes. The familiar 57-degree view and Bose-tuned sound carry over from the One Pro.

The glasses still need a wired connection to a compatible device. Built-in head tracking holds the screen in a chosen direction; adding the separately sold XREAL Eye lets it stay in one spot in your room as you move.

The 1 Pro+ is available to order in the US, UK, EU, and Canada. At the US store (opens in a new tab), the medium size is in stock, while the large size ships within two weeks of purchase. Choose the size that matches the distance between your pupils.
