About the app.

Freeform gives notes, sketches, links, photos, and files room to spread out on a flexible canvas. It works well for brainstorming, planning a project, collecting references, or simply getting related ideas out of a stack of separate windows and into one visible workspace.

On Vision Pro, the board can sit at a comfortable size in the room while collaborators work on it together in real time. The large canvas makes it easy to step back, see how the pieces connect, and then move in close when you need to edit a detail.

The visionOS 27 preview adds curved windows and spatial objects that can be arranged directly on a board. Those features push a familiar Apple app beyond a flat document and toward a shared workspace built for the shape and scale of the room.
