About the app.
Porta Nubi transforms your surroundings into a beam-routing puzzle built exclusively for Vision Pro. Each handcrafted level asks you to guide light from its source to a destination by arranging portals, blockers, mirrors, and other objects around the room.
Logic, timing, and spatial awareness all matter. The clean art direction keeps each path readable, while day and night environments, hand interaction, and PS VR2 controller support give you different ways to play.
The game has grown well beyond its original release with new chapters and levels, button mechanics, tutorial improvements, input remapping, and a dedicated accessibility panel.

Developer Spotlight
Meet Michael Temper.
Independent developer and creator of Porta Nubi

Michael has developed for Apple platforms for 10 years and has worked with visionOS since Apple released its first SDK. He spent about a year building Porta Nubi for its May 2025 release, then another year improving its art, adding levels, supporting PSVR2 controllers, and expanding accessibility.
Why Michael built Porta Nubi
After helping port Apple Arcade titles to Vision Pro, I noticed that many early games were existing experiences floating in space. I wanted to create a game that truly uses spatial computing and feels made for Apple Vision Pro.
“This recognition means a lot to me. I met Justin shortly before Porta Nubi launched at a visionOS meetup in Germany. I began my talk by saying, ‘I’m creating one of the best games for Apple Vision Pro.’ Six months later, Porta Nubi won Apple Vision Pro Game of the Year. That story will always make me smile.”
