About the app.
Theater is a spatial media player built around purpose-made places to watch. It supports movies, Apple Immersive Video, 3D content, fulldome films, IMAX presentations, YouTube, and a personal Plex library instead of forcing every format onto the same virtual screen.
The spaces range from intimate screening rooms to giant domes and multiplex-scale environments. Their size, seating, and presentation change how the content feels, so the theater becomes part of the experience rather than a decorative background.
That range gives the app more staying power than a single showcase. A free first ticket gives you a way to try the experience, while YouTube and Plex require a one-time Full Pass. Theater accounts add recommendations and a place to discover or buy more films.

Meet Adam Lisagor.
Co-creator of Theater at Sandwich Vision
Adam has been developing for almost three years. He and Andy began working on an early version called Television in December 2023, then launched Theater in June 2024.
Why they built Theater
We think the best thing you can do with Vision Pro is consume media. We want to bring the world’s best immersive, giant-screen, and fulldome films to Vision Pro, and make some of those films ourselves, so Theater users always feel their time in the app is time well spent.
