Retrocade Adds a New Game to Its Virtual Arcade on Apple Vision Pro
QIX turns Taito’s 1981 line-drawing game into a life-size cabinet, where players claim the screen while dodging Qix and Sparx.
Resolution Games has added QIX to Retrocade (opens in a new tab), giving Apple Vision Pro owners a new life-size arcade cabinet to place in their rooms.
The 1981 Taito game is the 14th classic in Retrocade’s growing Apple Arcade lineup.
How QIX works
Move the Marker around the playfield and draw a line into the open area. Reach another edge, and the space you boxed in becomes yours.
The goal is to claim at least 75 percent of the screen while staying away from Qix in the open space and Sparx along the edges.
QIX is live now in Retrocade through Apple Arcade. A game controller is required to play on Vision Pro.
For Vision Pro owners, QIX adds one more bright cabinet to the room and one more high score to chase.
