Premiere makes spatial clips and depth-based text surprisingly approachable, even if it is not yet a full replacement for a desktop editor.
Spatial clips and depth controls let text and images sit at different distances, and projects that use those features export as spatial video for Vision Pro.
Spatial editing is the point.
Floating panels make the workspace feel native to Vision Pro rather than like a flat editor placed inside a window. Depth controls are especially useful for positioning text and images in front of or behind the action.
When a project includes spatial clips or depth, Premiere automatically exports it as spatial video. That makes it a compelling way to build Vision Pro-ready edits without managing a separate spatial export workflow.
Useful, but not a complete desktop replacement.
The app is not as feature rich as editors such as DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro. Working across several windows can also become challenging when visionOS fades windows that sit too close together.
It still makes a lot of sense for people who already use Premiere or want to create spatial videos with text and images at different depths. Adobe building specifically for Vision Pro is an encouraging step.
