About the app.

INSIGHT LUNG places a high-resolution human lung in the room for guided exploration. The model can be rotated and resized so its overall shape, airways, and surrounding structures remain understandable from more than one fixed textbook view.

A virtual assistant named ANI leads viewers through a healthy lung and visualizations of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Comparing the states in the same model can make changes and severity easier to picture for students, clinicians, patients, and families.

The app is based on medical and scientific specifications but remains an educational aid, not a diagnosis or replacement for professional care. It is most useful when a three-dimensional explanation can support a lesson or conversation about respiratory health.
