SpAItial’s Echo-3 Turns iPhone Scans Into 3D Worlds You Can Restyle
The new capture app rebuilds spaces at real-world scale and fills in missed areas. A launch demo turns a family home into a storybook.

SpAItial announced Echo-3 and its new iPhone capture app (opens in a new tab) on October 27. The AI model rebuilds places you scan as 3D spaces you can explore.
Echo-2 could already create a world from one photo. Echo-3 uses a walk through a real space to capture more of its detail. SpAItial says the result keeps real-world dimensions, so you can take measurements inside it.
How it works
Open the app and move slowly around the space, capturing it from different angles. Upload the scan for cloud processing. The result is a Gaussian splat, a 3D scene built from small colored shapes.
Echo-3 also fills in areas the camera missed. Those parts are generated by AI, so good coverage still helps. SpAItial recommends getting close to details you want to read or inspect.
Give the space a new look
In a launch demo from David Novotny (opens in a new tab), a phone scan of his daughter’s room becomes the starting point for a fairy-tale makeover. The video moves through the house as familiar rooms turn into painted forests and gingerbread walls.
You can also share a link to a captured space. Other people can open it in a browser and move around it themselves.
Price and availability
The app requires an iPhone running iOS 18 or later. LiDAR is optional, though Pro iPhones with LiDAR get live coverage guidance and a denser scan preview. Android is coming soon.
The app is free to download (opens in a new tab), but processing scans uses credits. US monthly plans are:
- Standard is $49.99 for 7,500 credits, for non-commercial use.
- Pro is $99.99 for 15,000 credits and includes commercial rights.
Processing costs 300 credits per recorded scan minute, with a 900-credit minimum per scan. Eligible new subscribers get a one-month free trial. Plans renew automatically unless canceled.
